ANDERSON PATTEN.

FAIRFIELD. - Anderson Patten, 83, died of a heart attack about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home at 100 East Washington street.

He was born June 29, 1870, in Delavan, Ill., the son of Milo P. and Louisa Lyons Patten. He was married in Keosauqua February 12, 1896, to Emma Vance, who survives. He had farmed before they came to Fairfield about 30 years ago.

Besides his wife he leaves three daughters, Mrs. Milo Stevenson of Denmark, Iowa, and Mrs. Paul Jenks and Miss Reva Patten of Fairfield; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Edes of Long Beach, Calif., and six grandchildren. A son preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Christian church and the Jefferson County Golden Wedding club.

The body is at the Hoskins funeral home. The service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Christian church. The Rev. S.P. Williamson will be in charge. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.
