Mrs. Brown, 77, Taken In Death

BIRMINGHAM - Mrs. John (Effie) Brown, 77, formerly of Birmingham, died at her home in Manteca, Calif., on March 19.

Mrs. Brown was born Nob. 19, 1896 in the Glasgow Community. The Browns lived in Birmingham, Stockport and Fairfield before moving to California about 20 years ago.

Burial was at Sacramento, Calif.

Mrs. Brown is survived by one son, Paul Brown of Manteca, Calif., a brother and sister, Clifford Jerrell and Mrs. Ervin (Mary) Giberson of Fairfield, and two half-sisters, Mrs. Bertha Sybert and Nellie Nelson, both of near Fairfield and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
