Harriet Neis, 82, Succumbs

Mrs. Harriet Elizabeth Neis, 82, 406 Ferguson St., and a resident of Charles City since 1909, died at 5:30 p.m. yesterday at the Cedar Valley hospital. She entered the hospital Jan. 6, after falling and fracturing her hip in her home. Death was attributed to a heart complication.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. near Keosauqua, the daughter of William and Martha Alice Davis Miller. She received her education in the Van Buren county schools. On Aug. 17, 1903 she married Anton F. Neis at Keosauqua.

Survivors include one daughter, Frances. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, one daughter Marjorie Elizabeth and her husband, A.F. Neis.

She was a member of the First Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge.

Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
