William H. Fridley.

"At 9 o'clock on Tuesday night William H. Fridley passed over the River of Death into the Life Beyond at his home at 56 Tait avenue aged 76 years and nine months. Mr. Fridley was a native of Virginia, and came to Caliween [sic?] as a youth of eighteen years, remaining in this State twelve years; he then returned East, settling in Iowa, where he was married and lived twenty-three years. He then returned to California with his family, twentry three yeas ago, and has since resided in Los Gatos. His wife, one son, Ralph Fridley of Oakland, one daughter, Maudeline May Fridley, and a grandson, Ralph Fridley, Jr. survive him. The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the family residence, the service to be Rev. F.L. Fraser, paster of the First Presbyterian Church of this city assisted by Rev. R. C. Moodie, the first pastor of the Chursh."

The above clipping from a Los Gatos, California paper will be interesting to many of the older residents of Bonaparte. W. H. Fridley was a resident of this town several years and while here worked at the carpenter trade, being employed part of the time in the planing mill of Entler & Meek. He was married to Miss Susannah Green of Bonaparte, who with the two children above mentioned survives hime.

Mr, Fridley once lived on the site of the present home of W.A. Packer and had a lumber yard on that block which he sold to W.E. Smith, the present Bonaparte lumberman.

Those here who knew him state that he was a good workman and that he was prompt in meeting all his obligations. The friends of the family join with the RECORD in extending sincerest sympathy.
