Mrs. George Rowe, died at the University hospital in Iowa City, Wednesday, January 9, 1929, where she had been a patient the past two months.
Mrs. Rowe, formerly Miss Birdie Lewis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis, was born in Van Buren county, September 2, 1872, and attended school at Keosauqua. She was united in marriage with Mr. Rowe at Keosauqua, May 30, 1894. Three children of the five born to Mr. and Mrs. Rowe preceded their mother in death. Mrs. Rowe is survived by her husband and two sons, J.C. Rowe of Keokuk, and D.O. Rowe of Hamilton, Ill. She also leaves three brothers and two sisters, one of her sisters, Mrs. Minnie McCullough, residing at Milton.
Funeral services were held in the M.E. church, at Milton, Friday morning at 11 o’clock. Burial in the Milton cemetery.
