Edna Mae Mills ~ 1892-1930

Edna May Mills, daughter of Charles and Hattie West, was born July 24, 1892, and died on July 23, 1930, being within one day of thirty- eight years of age.

On Nov. 4, 1911, she was united in marriage with Gus Z. Mills at Troy, Iowa, and to this union six children were born: Paul, Neelma, Donald, Albert and Cleve at home, and Robert who died May 30, 1929, at the age of eight years.

Mrs. Mills passed away on the early morning of July 23rd at the University Hospital at Iowa City after an illness of about two years.

Funeral services were held on July 25th at the Hillsboro M.E. church, the Rev. Otto Wilson of Mr. Pleasant officiating and interment in Hillsboro cemetery.

The family had made their home in Harrisburg township for several years. Mrs. Mills was member of the Methodist church at Troy.
