The Farmington (Ia.) News Republican says:

"Mrs. Belle Wollam, wife of Clifford Wollam, died at her home four miles northwest of Mt. Sterling, Sunday, January 22. Her death was caused by blood poisoning. She was the daughter of F.M. Sparks east of town, and had been married about four years, and was only 21 years of age.
Her death, thus coming so early in life, caused a great deal of gloom and sadness in the community. Following is the obituary:

"Mary Isabel Sparks was born August 27, 1889, in Scotland County, Mo. She moved with her parents to Van Buren County, Iowa, in the fall of 1891, where she grew to womanhood. She was united with the Christian Church at Mt. Sterling at the age of 14. December 23, 1906 she was married to Clifford Wollam. To this union was born one child, Pauline, who is two years old. This baby, with the husband, father and mother, one sister, Mrs. Brookhart, of Memphis, Mo., and one brother, Will, are left to mourn their loss, besides a host of other relatives and friends. She was called to rest January 22, 1911. The funeral was conducted by Rev. A. R. McQueen, pastor of the Christian Church at Mt. Sterling."
