Grant Blackledge.

Mr. Grant Blackledge died at this place Thursday afternoon, January 29. Deceased was the son of Enoch Blackledge and was born on the old Blackledge place near Mt. Sterling, April 18, 1864. He had been in poor health for two years past but was not confined to his room until Thanksgiving day. His malady was consumption.

Deceased had lived at Mt. Sterling, at Bonaparte and this place. He was married to Miss Della Rigsby in 1889. He was married again to Miss Belle Shriver, June 26, 1897. Two children survive, Virgil aged four years and Willie aged fifteen months. The funeral services were held Saturday at 10 a.m. from the home, Rev. Johnson officiating. The burial was in the Blackledge cemetery near Mt. Sterling.
