MRS. EMMA HARRYMAN
Mrs. Emma Harryman died Saturday night at Ottumwa hospital where she had undergone an operation Friday morning.
Mrs. Harryman had been attending summer school at Parsons college and became seriously ill Thursday. She went to her home near Douds and was taken to Ottumwa where the operation was performed. She apparently was in good health before she was stricken Thursday.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia, age 10; three sisters, Mrs. Beatrice Robinson of Cantril, Mrs. Donna Carson and Miss Betty Smith of Washington, D.C. and two brothers, John Smith of Davenport and Kermit Smith of Douds.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Leanod church with the pastor, Rev. E.K. Parrott, in charge. Cousins served as pall bearers. Burial in Leando cemetery.
