MRS. ROBERT J. BARKER

Mrs. Ethel Teal Barker, wife of Robert J. Barker, three miles southeast of Keosauqua, died at the St. Joseph hospital in Ottumwa on Friday afternoon of ether pneumonia. Mrs. Barker had a light attack of pneumonia from which she was thought to be recovering until Tuesday night when she became violently ill. She was removed to the hospital on Wednesday morning as the body of her mother, Mrs. Mary Teal, was being taken to the Utica Methodist church for a funeral service. Mrs. Teal had passed away at their home on Monday afternoon.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Keosauqua Methodist church, Rev. M.E. Hayes officiating, assisted by Rev. Caughlan. Interment in Oaklawn cemetery. The large attendance gave testimony of the high regard in which she was held by her neighbors and friends.

She is survived by her husband and three children: Kenneth, who lives on a farm near Keosauqua; Dale, who is a student at Iowa state university; Janet, who is a rural school teacher near her home; also by one sister, Mrs. J.H. Keck of Keosauqua; and one brother, J. Ferg Teal, of Fairfield. Her twin brother, Frank Teal, was killed by an automobile on the highway south of Keosauqua abuot(sp) a year ggo(sp).
