Mrs. Mary Greenfield

Mary E., daughter of E.T. and Margaret Baldwin, was born November 8, 1862 near Douds, Iowa, and died at her home in Douds, July 14, 1936, at the age of 73 years, 8 months and 6 days.

She was married to Ross Greenfield Feb. 9, 1992 and to this union three children were born: Mrs. F.T. Suit, St. Louis, Mo.; A.R. Greenfield, Libertyville, Iowa; and Mrs. O.L. Morrow of Douds, Iowa.

For the past three years Mrs. Greenfield had been in failing health and was seriously ill only a few days.

For more than forty years she had been a faithful worker and member of the Mt. Moriah church and was teacher for the primary class for many years.

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, the three children, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, J.O. Baldwin of Eldon, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. J.C. Callahan of Vancouver, Washington; one half-brother, E.E. Smith of Kilbourne, Iowa and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Mt. Moriah church Thursday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Chas. Ellis of Moravia, assisted by the Rev. G.W. Barber of Eldon. Interment was in Mt. Moriah cemetery.
