James Hughes Dean

James Hughes Dean, son of Hughes Dean and Melissa Steadman Dean, born November 15, 1876, in Harrisburg township, Van Buren county, Iowa, died July 27, 1941 at Battle Creek, Michigan. He attended school at Bonaparte. He was never married. For years he had made his home in Battle Creek.

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Jessie Dean Hitchcock of Battle Creek, Michigan, and two aunts, Mrs. Emma Bennett of Bonaparte and Miss Hattie Steadman of Los Angeles, Calif.
