W.B. IRELAND

W.B. Ireland died last week at his home in Fairfield where he had retired in 1934 from his work as Methodist preacher.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie, and one son, Raymond, now in the U.S. service. He was born Oct. 14, 1864 near Brookville, and spent all of his life in this part of Iowa. Funeral services were held Easter Sunday from the First Methodist church, the sermon being delivered by Dr. U.S. Smith of New London.

His first appointment was at Unionville, Iowa, in 1893, and he served the following churches during his active ministry: Cedar, Lovilia, Durham, Mt. Pleasant, West Point, Drakesville, Pulaski, Libertyville, Muscatine South, Kellogg, Donnellson, Fairfield Circuit, Wayland, Malcolm, Thornburg, Fremont, Packwood and Milton.
