Catherine Mary Oriez, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Oriez was born in Cedar township, Jefferson county, Iowa, October 11, 1854, and passed away, June 16, 1934 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Cora Silvers, of Stockport, at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 25 days.

On February 18, 1873 she was united in marriage to Gustanas Keller, of Jefferson county, Iowa. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary last February.

Ten children were born to this union, two of them, Millie and Roy, having preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her going, her husband, eight children, 29 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. The children are, Mrs. Anna Reed, of Fairfield; Mrs. Minnie Rubey, of Mt. Union; Mrs. Cora Silvers, of Stockport; Frank, Jule, Lue and John Keller, of Fairfield, and Gus Keller, of Kansas. She is also survived by eight brothers and sisters, Mrs. Mary Bruey, of Pasadena, Calif., Mrs. John Sneer and Miss Corine Oriez, of Washington, Ia.; Philamen Oriez, of Ottumwa, Ia.; Frank and John Oriez, of Fairfield, Theodore and Joe Oriez, of Washington.

Mrs. Keller's health has been failing for a number of years, but she was bedfast for only three weeks. She was very patient thruout her lingering illness and expressed her willingness and readiness to go home.

Funeray(sp) services were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church in Stockport with the Rev. O.L. Allison, local pastor in charge.

Interment was made in the Wright cemetery in Jefferson county.
