Victor P. Doud

Victor Phillip Doud, son of John Mason and Sarah M. Doud, was born at Douds, Iowa, Dec. 5, 1864, and departed this life Nov. 10, 1936, at the age of 71 years, 11 months, 5 days, at his home in Douds, Iowa, after a long illness.

Vick, as he was known by every one, was a life long resident of this community, where he was well liked, and held in high esteem by all who knew him. All through his life he remained a kind and loyal neighbor, an understanding loving husband and father, and a most devoted grandfather.

He leaves to mourn his going, his wife, Emma, two daughters, Mrs. Ora Sanford and Mrs. John Daniels, two sons, Clell and Sanley(?), a host of relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 2, in Douds church, in charge of Rev. Moore of Douds. Interment in Mt. Moriah cemetery.
