Mrs. Mary A. Drummond

Mary Ann, daughter of Stephen and Rosina Poor, was born near Floris Oct. 18, 1856 and departed this life at her home in Pittsburg Wednesday morning, Dec. 11, 1935, aged 79 years, one month and 23 days. She was united in marriage with John A. Drummond Oct. 12, 1881. He preceded her in death Oct., 1915.

When a young woman she placed her membership in the Methodist Episcopal church at Pittsburg. She has always lived an upright life.

She leaves to mourn her passing, one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Brudges, of Fremont, Ohio; three grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Jennie Harness, Ottumwa; and an aunt, Mrs. Mary Strait, of Lebanon; several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held in Keosauqua Sunday afternoon, in charge of the Rev. M.E. Hayes. Interment was in the Pittsburg cemetery.
