Jay Kirkendall

Jay, son of E.B. and Mary Frazee Kirkendall, was born near Leando, and died at Las Animas, Colo., Dec. 22, 1934.

He grew to manhood on the home farm. He attended Iowa Wesleyan college where he was graduated. Later he graduated from the Boston School of Theology.

He joined the Des Moines conference of the M.E. church in 1897 and remained a member of that ??dy until the fall of 1934, when he was transferred to Las Animus, Colo.

He was married to Miss Elsie ??rkit, of Red Oak, March 16, 1898 who with two daughters, Mrs. Ruth ??asley, of Pocatello, Idaho; and Margaret, of Chicago and one son Walter, in Clark University, Worchester, Mass.; two sisters, mrs. ??ias Heckart, of Selma, and Mrs. ?? N. Carver, of Cambridge, Mass. survive. One daughter, his parents and two brothers preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held and interment made in the Red Oak cemetery.
