Thurston M. Newnham
Thurston Montgomery Newnham was (born) February 28, 1860 and passed away at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Leffler, in Harrisburg township, November 19, 1935 at the age of 75 years, 8 months and 21 days.
When he was four years of age he moved with his parents to Luray, Mo., where he continued to make his home throughout his life.
He was united in marriage with Mary Ann Groto June 16, 1886. To this union four children were born, Myrtle, the eldest, died in infancy; Lee W. and Ernest L., of Fort Madison; and Mrs. Ruby Leffler, of Bonaparte. These three children, several grandchildren and one great grandchild mourn his loss. He was the last of five children.
He was a member of the M.E. church of Luray, Mo. Funeral services were held in the Methodist church in Luray, Mo., Thursday afternoon. Interment was in the Luray cemetery.
