Mrs. Emma Henry

Emma Miller, oldest daughter of Carrie and Clement Miller, was born near Bloomingburg, N.Y. on May 16, 1869 and departed this life at the home of her sister, Mrs. J.E. Hanan, in Brighton, Colo., on Wednesday morning April 8, 1936.

With her parents, she came to Iowa in 1876, where on January 1, 1889 she was united in marriage to Orin G. Henry. To this union were born two daughters, Lela Peebler, of Boulder, Colorado, left to mourn the loss of her mother, and Bessie Brown, who with Mr. Henry, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Henry had been in ill health for some time but suffered a heart attack on Saturday which resulted in her death. She became a member of the Methodist church when about fifteen years of age and was a member of the Methodist church in Longmont, Colo. at the time of her death.

Besides her daughter, those left to mourn her loss are two sisters, Mrs. Mate Davis, of Keosauqua, Iowa, and Mrs. Anna Hanan, of Brighton, Colorado; and a brother, Elbert C. Miller, of Wyoming; five grandchildren Lester and Velma Brown, of Boulder; Frances Crowell Blue, Donald and Ernest Crowell, of Denver; and one great grandson, Lowell Estes Blue, also of Denver, as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Howe Mortuary in Boulder on Thursday afternoon, April 9, 1936 with burial at the Green Mountain cemetery in Boulder, Colorado.
