Mrs. Mary Barker Dies in Fairfield

Former Keosauqua Resident, 54, Is Survived by Daughter, Son, 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Margaret Barker of Fairfield, who was born and reared at Keosauqua, were held at the Hoskins funeral home in Fairfield Thursday afternoon. The Rev. E.A. Piper was in charge of the final rites and burial was at Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. Barker, widow of George Barker, was 54 years old. She died at the Jefferson county hospital December 9 after being in frail health three months following a heart attack. She had been an employe of the Fairfield Glove and Mitten company 18 years.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Dick Miller of Fairfield; a son, Harry Barker of Fairfield; three brothers, Stanley Brewington of Fairfield, Boyd of Ottuwma and Arthur of Des Moines, and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Dickinson and Mrs. Ruby Stream of Fairfield.
