James "Jim" Countryman 1959-2014

James Dean "Jim" Countryman, age 54, of rural Birmingham died at his home on July 9, 2014, surrounded by his family.

Jim was born Sept. 29, 1959, in Fairfield, the son of Harold D. and Ramona Hudson Countryman.

A lifetime resident of the Birmingham community, he attended Birmingham Elementary School, Stockport Middle School and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1978.

He was a member of ABATE.

Jim farmed and was a mechanic of tractors and small engines. He had worked at Reiff Grain in Fairfield and currently was employed by Golden Furrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Caitlyn Johnston of Kansas City, MO; and two sisters, Nadine Countryman and Rhonda Countryman, both of Birmingham; one nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held July 12 at the Heartland Christian Camp in Birmingham with Pastor Tim De Vries officiating.

Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Birmingham.
