Highly Respected and Aged Woman Dies at Home of Her Daughter.

Minnie (Moore) Bickel was born in Columbus, Ohio, January 16, 1846, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Etta Tschantz, in Pulaski, February 23, 1923, aged 77 years, 1 month and 7 days. She was the last of her father's family.

When yet a child she came to Van Buren county, Iowa, with her parents, where she grew to womanhood. She became united in marriage with Jacob Bickel October 21, 1871, to which five children were born, the eldest preceding the mother in death. Her husband died November 5, 1895. Mrs. Bickel resided in Davis county the past 37 years.

Four children, as follows, are left to mourn the loss of a devoted and loving mother: Mrs. Etta Tschantz, Annie Allen and Cora Watson of Pulaski, and William of Milton, also 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She united with the Milton Presbyterian church when yet a girl. After coming to Pulaski she affiliated with the Methodist church and has remained steadfast to the end.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Pulaski Methodist church, with Rev. Baker in charge of the obsequies.

Six grandsons, Ray Tschantz, Bernie Allen, Edgar Watson, Clyde Bickel, John Weiss, and Herbert Heather, active pall bearers carried the body to its last earthly resting place in the K. of P. cemetery west of Pulaski.
