Having united with the church at that at the early age of 16, he took an active part in the work of the Sharon church, of which he was elected an elder in 1866. This office he held until his removal to Mount Pleasant about 1890. For the past 14 years he has acceptably served as an elder in the First Presbyterian Church of this city.
Mr. Logan's parents were James and Mary Bryson Logan and of the 14 children of their family only two now survive, John W., of Kansas, and Mrs. Margaret Truax, of Washington.
Short services were held at the First Presbyterian Church yesterday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. W. P. Nicholas. The remains were taken to Lee County where appropriate services were held in the Sharon church at 11 AM and then in the body laid to rest in that cemetery.
