William Jones.
William Jones died at his home at Bonaparte about noon Tuesday, September 8, 1908, very suddenly and unexpectedly. He had been down town in the morning, had called at several stores and the post office and had not complained of feeling worse than usual. He died about noon while seated in his chair at home.
Mr. Jones came to Bonaparte about fourteen years ago and has been a valued employee of the woolen mills. About a year ago he quit active work in the mills.
He was born in the city of Manchester, England, December 25, 1835, being at the time of his death 72 years, 9 months old.
In 1861 he came to the United States, locating at St. Louis Mo. While in St. Louis he married Mrs. Sarah Priestly, March 8, 1864. There remain to mourn their loss, three daughters and two sons, and the loving wife and mother.
Funeral services were held at the home here Thursday at 11 o'clock, A. M. Conducted by Rev. Jas. Clark. The remains were taken from here to Warsaw, Ill., for interrment.
