Ephriam Hewitt

Ephriam Hewitt, son of Pard and Nancy Hewitt was born September 25, 1861 in Hawkins Co., O.

He moved with his parents at the age of ten to Van Buren Co., Iowa where he remained until his death May 4, 1936 aged 75 years, 7 months and 4 days.

In the year 1879 he was united in marriage to Dora Brown. To this union were born three children, Harley, Sousettia and Afton. His wife and two children preceded him in death.

On March 21, 1929 he married Mrs. Kibley Judd of Koshkonong, Mo., who has been a faithful helpmake during his six years of affliction.

He was a patient sufferer and many times expressed to go when the Lord called him. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, one son, Harley; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors who have shown their sympathy and kindness in many ways.

Funeral services were held at the Leando Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 7th in charge of Rev. C.H. Chader of Mystic. Interment in Leando cemetery.
