Geo. W. Hollen

Geo. W. Hollen was born Aug. 6, 1849 near Harrisburg, Pa., and departed this life June 12, 1936 at 2:10 in Bentonsport, Iowa.

He married Sarah J. Crawford October 25, 1874. To this union were born five children, two of them having preceded him in death. He was converted in early life and became a member of the Free Methodist Church in Eldon.

He leaves to mourn his loss a loved wife, Sarah J. Hollen and three children, Margaret Jackson of Hollywood, Calif.; Ida and Frank of Bentonsport, Iowa; also three sisters, Mrs. Emmett Morrison, Mrs. Will Morrison and Mrs. Ed Duffield; and two brothers, Samuel of Denver, Colo.; and Will of Ripley, Okla.; also 8 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Bruce Myers of Eldon at the Pittsburg church with burial in the Pittsburg cemetery.
