FRANCIS O. THOMAS

CANTRIL--Francis Orville Thomas, 67, died early Thursday at Van Buren county hospital, Keosauqua, following a stroke suffered while vacationing in Florida.

The son of Alfred and Minnie Baxter Thomas, he was born April 25 1912 in Mt Pleasant. He married Velma Bickel in 1939 in Ottumwa; she died in 1962.

He was employed by John Morell Co, Ottumwa until his retirement in 1962. He had mowed nine cemeteries regularly in Van Buren county for several years. He had bee a Cantril resident sine 1965,

Surviving brother William of Galesburg, Illinois.

Funeral 2 P.M. Saturday, Cantril United Methodist church, Rev. Edward A Kail, Lebanon Cemetery. The body is at Pedrick Funeral Home Douds.
