MRS. CHARLES N. LORING
Selma Jane, Daughter [sic] of Mr. And Mrs. Charles Hull was born April 24, 1872, and died June 24, 1919, after an illness of six weeks' duration. She was a native of Van Buren county, having lived here all her life, with the exception of thirteen years which was spent in Colorado.
August 31, 1890, she was united in marriage to Charles N. Loring. To this happy union five chilrden [sic] were born. Two children, Carrie V. and Charles Leonard preceded her to the better land. Those left to mourn their loss are her husband, one son Delles [sic] O., of Kansas City, Mo., two daughters Eva May Barton, of Oklahoma City, Okla, and Hazle Ann of this place, two grandchildren and two brothers, John H. and George A., both of Cantril, beside a host of other relatives and friends. She joined the M. E. church at Home Pairie [sic] at the age of 17.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Cantril, Friday, June 27, 1919, Rev. Jones officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Maple Grove cemetery.
