OBITUARY

Clarence Sterling Price, only son of Theophelia [sic] and Mary Price, was born near Bentonsport, Iowa, Sept. 2, 1861, and passed away at his home near Milton, Iowa, on Oct. 16, 1919 at the age of fifty-eight years, one month and fourteeen [sic] days. He was united in marriage with Elizabeth Smith Feb. 17, 1886. To this union three children were born: Jesse Hugo, Gladys May and Helen Virginia; Gladys and Helen preceding him to the other world. Gladys died when a baby of three; Helen only two years ago. He united with the Methodist church at Bonaparte, Iowa, in 1897, and remained a member of that church until his death. He had been in poor health for more than two years, having a light stroke of paralysis about two years ago from which he never fully recovered. He was stricken the second time just four weeks before his death.

Deceased was a loving and beloved husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, one son, two sisters Mrs. Mary Warner of Lebanon, Mrs. Lena Sullivan of Troy; two half sisters Mrs. Edna Grant of Canada and Valley Price of Milton; one brother Will Price of Ames, Iowa; and one grandson, Sterling Burr Price who was a joy in his life.

His death is a loss to all, for he was a friend to all.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. V. Felt, of Cantril, assisted by Rev. Conant of Milton, and the body gently laid to rest in the Cantril cemetery.
