He was united in marriage with Elizabeth Smith Feb. 17, 1886. To this union three children were born: Jesse Hugo, Gladys May and Helen Virginia; Gladys and Helen preceding him to the other world. Gladys died when a baby of three; Helen only two years ago. He united with the Methodist church at Bonaparte, Iowa, in 1897, and remained a member of that church until his death. He had been in poor health for more than two years, having a light stroke of paralysis about two years ago from which he never fully recovered. He was stricken the second time just four weeks before his death.
Deceased was a loving and beloved husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, one son, two sisters Mrs. Mary Warner of Lebanon, Mrs. Lena Sullivan of Troy; two half sisters Mrs. Edna Grant of Canada and Valley Price of Milton; one brother Will Price of Ames, Iowa; and one grandson, Sterling Burr Price who was a joy in his life.
His death is a loss to all, for he was a friend to all.
