DEATH OF MRS. ANNA FUNK
Anna Phillips was the oldest daughter of Harvey and Mary Phillips of Moscow, Iowa. She was born Sept. 3, 1859, and died June 20, 1915. Age 55 years, 9 months and 17 days.
On Nov. 28, 1878, she was united in marriage with Jason Funk, of Pittsburg, Iowa. There were born to them five children, two of whom died in infancy. She is survived by her husband, two sons, Glen Funk, of Pulaski, Ia.; Dean Funk, of Pittsburg and one daughter, Ettie M. Forbes, of Saquache, Colorado; also two sisters, Mrs. L. Williams, of Fairfield, Ia, Mrs. Thomas Wix, of Keosauqua, Ia; also one brother Chas. Phillips, of New York City. Mrs. Funk became a member of the Methodist church when a young woman, and was at the services whenever possible. She has had poor health for four years and been a total invalid for about ten months. She was a patient sufferer, and her removal will be felt by a large number of friends in the district. Funeral services in charge of Rev. Brabbs were held at the M. E. church at Pittsburg Monday afternoon of this week; interment in the Pittsburg cemetery.
