OBITUARY
George Washington Rugh, son of Michael and Zeruiah Rugh, was born near Pierceville, Iowa, July 27, 1851, and passed away at his home in Cantril, Iowa, November 4, 1923. He was united in marriage to Anna Tackaberry December 28, 1890. To this union was born four children, Mrs. Roy Aylward, Mrs. Arthur Ferguson, Tom G. and Ivan S. Rugh at home. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife and children, one grandchild, Velma Ferguson, three brothers and two sisters, Mr. H. K. Rugh, of Memphis, Mo., Mrs. B. R. Grinstead, Mr. Frank Rugh, Miss Ella G. Rugh, all of Cantril, and John D. Rugh, of Fairmont, Okla., and a host of relatives and friends. In the year of 1856 he with his parents moved to a farm in Scotland county, Mo., located two miles south of the Iowa-Missouri line. After marriage he lived on a farm near the old home until the year of 1919 when he moved to Cantril, Iowa. He was converted and united with the Methodist church in 1892 under the pastorate of S. W. [ ]nes, and remained a faithful member until the end.
