The Steadman family of Bonaparte received a telegram Tuesday, June 22, from the Governor of California notifying them of the death of Elery Steadman, a former Bonaparte boy.

He had been a soldier in the U. S. A. in the Philippines and had recently been in the soldiers’ home at Santa Monica, California. The funeral was held Wednesday.

W. A. Steadman notified his brother who lives at Anaheim, Cal., not far from Santa Monica, to care for the personal effects and funeral arrangements of the deceased.
