Henry Heise
Frederick August Henry Heise was born at Hanover, Germany, April 26, 1853. He came to this country May 19, 1869, and spent the early part of his life in Lee county. On the 3rd of November, 1881, he was united in marriage to Mary Schau and of this union three children were born, viz: - Martha, now Mrs. Arthur Stevenson living near Bonaparte; Edward William, who always resided at home; and Lizzie Ann, now Mrs. John Wallingford of Harrisburg.
Mr. Heise has always been a good, honest, hardworking man. As a father and husband he truly exercised that love and devotion for the family worthy of respect. Their welfare was the great desire of his life. He was a member of the old German Lutheran church and a faithful adherent of the Bonaparte Presbyterian church.
The end came very suddenly, he being stricken with apoplexy on Monday afternoon January 3, and dying the same day, aged 57 years, 8 months and 7 days.
Funeral services were held Thursday following at Sharon and were conducted by Rev. Jas. Clark of Dows, Iowa.
