Mrs. Mary Bailey was born in Franklin county, Pennsylvania November 5, 1824. She was married at Zanesville, Ohio, in July 1845, to Nathan Bailey. They moved to Van Buren county, Iowa in 1855.
Her husband died on July 16, 1897. Deceased was a member of the Methodist church at Utica, having joined more than twenty-five years ago.
