ELDON - Robert S. Carr, 74, retired Eldon farmer, died early today at Van Buren Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua where he had been a patient for five weeks.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.
Carr was born June 14, 1899 near Douds, the son of Stephen and Mary Gardner Carr. He was married June 23, 1920 to Minnie Evans who died in 1970. In 1971 he was married to Pearl Mort, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Orville of Keosauqua and Murl of Douds, and a daughter, Mrs. Henry Poos of Selma.
Other survivors are eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sister: Thomas of Palo Verde, Calif., Clyde of Fairfield, Charles of Eldon and Mrs. Noble McIntosh, Eldon.
One son, one brother and one sister are deceased.
