Mrs. Wymer, 78, Taken In Death

OTTUMWA - Mrs. Elsie J. Wymer, 78, wife of Lonnie M. Wymer, died Wednesday at her home at Ottumwa following a year's illness.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m., at the Pedick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Tim Dobson officiating. Interment will be in the Leando Cemetery at Douds.

The daughter of Daniel and Emma Freeman Collins, she was born Aug. 25, 1895 in Jefferson County.

On Dec. 22, 1923, she was married to Lonnie Wymer in Ottumwa. They resided principally in Fairfield, Douds and Ottumwa and in Chicago, Ill.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ottumwa.

Mrs. Wymer is survived by her widower, two daughters, Mrs. Daisy Miller, Ottumwa and Thelma Wymer, Aurora, Ill.; a son, Leo Wymer of Minneapolis, Minn.; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Crandall of Ewing, Neb., Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson of West Bend, Wis. She was preceded in death by a son, five infant children and three brothers.
