JOHN PARK

John Park of this township died Friday evening, Nov. 9, after a brief illness of gastric tumor in the stomach. We know little of his history. He came to this county about 1850. He was very poor at that time, but by untiring industry, self-denial and intelligent management he accumulated a handsome competence. His daughters Mrs. Dr. Robertson and Mrs. Dr. Latimer of Denver, Col., arrived in time for the funeral which took place on Sunday. His other children reside in this township. Mr. Park was a good citizen and a strong and useful man. He was aged about 60 years.
