HARPER THERO

Graveside services were held Tuesday afternoon for Harp Thero.

Harper Oliver Thero was born October 16, 1884, the son of Elizabeth Kessler and William F. Thero. He passed away at his home in Toledo, Iowa, Friday afternoon, Feb. 25, 1949 at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 9 days.

He was united in marriage to Alice Alfrey, who survives, as do their two daughters, Mrs. Helen Jay of Asbury Park, N.J., and Mrs. Harriet Murphy of Kansas City; one grandchild, Terry Murphy of Kansas City; a sister, Edythe Thero Sloan of San Francisco, Calif.; an aunt, Laura Kessler of Farmington, Iowa, and a host of friends.

Harp lived all of his life in Farmington until 1939, when the moved to Toledo, Iowa. He had been in the Produce business for years.

Funeral services were held from the Mason Funeral Home in Tama, Iowa, at 2 o'clock Monday, Feb. 28, with Father Paul J. LaValette officiating. Interment Farmington Cemetery, Farmington, on March 1.
