MARY A. SAPPINGTON

The following clipping from a Napa, California, newspaper, concerns a former Clark county resident. She was an old friend of Mrs. Mary Cook, who received the clipping:

Death this morning claimed Mrs. Mary A. Sappington, 88, widow of the late F.G. Sappington and resident of Napa for the past twenty years, who passed away at the home of Mrs. W.M. Glasier, after a lengthy illness.

Deceased was born in England coming to the United States when seven years of age. She spent her early life near Farmington, Iowa, later going to Oakland, Calif., and then to Napa.

Mrs. Sappington was the mother of Mrs. Pearl Southard of Napa and had one grandchild, Mrs. R.C. Clark of McArthur, Calif., and one great grandson, Barry Clark. She died this morning at 7:45 o'clock, after being in failing health for several years.

Funeral services wlil be held in the Treadway Chapel tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, and the body will be sent to Oakland for cremation.
