MRS. WM. A. STRONG

Eliza Ann Page, daughter of John Milton and Mary Huffman Page, was born in Lee county, Iowa, June 20, 1866, and passed away from this life Wednesday morning, June 10, 1942, at her home in Alliance, Nebr.

When a small child her parents moved to Clark county, Mo., where she received her schooling and taught in the school of the county.

Later, when the family moved to Van Buren county she was associated with Mrs. Sage and Miss Hattie Steadman in a dressmaking business in Bonaparte, and later with her sister, Ida, in Bentonsport.

She was united in marriage with Wm. A. Strong in 1897 locating in Palmer, Nebr., where their home was for a number of years and where their three children were born, all of whom survive, and are located as follows: Bernice Davig, Klamath Falls, Oregon; Letha Winegar, Emmett, Idaho; and Alva Strong, Seattle, Wash.

Also surviving are her husband, one brother, Andrew J. Page of Iowa City, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Seward of Springfield, Mo.; also several grandchildren and a host of friends.

In 1919 they moved to Hemingford, Nebr., and in 1924 to Alliance, Nebr., having resided there for 18 years.

She was a member of the Christian church and Royal Neighbor lodge.

Funeral services were held at the First Christian church of Alliance on Sunday afternoon, June 14, with Rev. Burton Davies in charge. Burial was in Alliance cemetery.
