Emma Weekly
Emma Weekly was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Nov. 19, 1856, and passed away at her home west of Farmington Monday, Nov. 25, 1940, following a long illness.
She came to Farmington with her parents when eight years old, and after a short time moved to a farm near Athens, Mo., where she spent her girlhood days. In 1882 she was united in marriage to James A. Weekly and moved to the farm where she had made her home ever since with the exception of four years when she lived in Farmington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away in 1913. She leaves to mourn her passing two daughters, Mrs. Frank Wilson and Mrs. Charles Gray, both of Farmington; three grandchildren, Ruth Adkins, Arden Gray and Marvin Wilson, all of Farmington; also a niece, Mrs. Harry Storm of Keokuk, a nephew, Andrew Seiferheld of Keokuk and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Seiferheld of Keokuk, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the ???? Baptist church, Rev. ????? edict officiating. Interment in Farmington cemetery.
