OTTO E. RIDER

Otto E. Rider, 59, died July 19 in Veterans hospital, Long Beach, Calif. Death terminated a long period of illness.

Rider was the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rider, formerly of Milton. After the death of his father, the family moved back to Farmington, where Rider attended school. At about the age of 20 he enlisted in the navy, in which he remained for 38 years. He served through both World Wars.

A bachelor, Rider was a member of the Baptist church and the Elks lodge.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Nevada Rider of Keokuk; a brother, 2 sisters and 3 cousins

Glen Rider, Farmington, is a cousin.
