Chas. Vickers Claimed Today at Adams Mills

Charles Vickers, aged 70, lifelong resident of Virginia tp., and a brother of Mrs. Laura Slaughter of this city, died Friday morning about 1:30 o'clock at his home in Adams Mills. Death was caused by bronchial pneumonia. He had been bedfast from complications since April.

The deceased was born December 24, 1861, in Virginia tp., son of George and Diantha Vickers. His entire life was spent in Virginia tp. Vickers was united in marriage with Maria Norris of Adams Mills. To this union were born nine children.

He was a member of the Adams Mills Presbyterian church.

A year ago Mr. and Mrs. Vickers celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Surviving are his widow, five sons, James and Harvey Vickers of Adams Mills, William and Carl Vickers of Conesville Route 2 and George Vickers of Trinway; four daughers, Mrs. Nellie Stiner and Mrs. Prescott Cox of Adams Mills, Mrs. Brent Darner of Dresden Route 1 and Mrs. Merrel Cox of Trinway Route 1; one sister, Mrs. Slaughter; 27 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Adams Mills Presbyterian church. Burial will be made in the Baptist church cemetery at Millfork.
