MRS. E. POE PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Emma Katherine Crosley Poe, 44, a resident of Washington township, died in her home at 9:20 o'clock Saturday night after an illness of three months.

Mrs. Poe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George W. and Mary Sanford Crosley, was born in West Point, Iowa, January 8, 1897. She has been a resident of Lee county all of her life and resided on a farm the past eight years. She was married to Clarence Poe in Niota, Ill., May 11, 1932 and was a members of the Church of God.

Surviving are her husband; one brother, William J. Crosley, one uncle, J.H. Crosley; three aunts Mrs. Roy Bullard and Mrs. Anna Werner all of Fort Madison and Mrs. Lena Carbery, Phoenix, Arizona; four stepdaughthers, Mrs. Edward Lodwick and Mrs. Dan Kenzler, both of Denmark; Mrs. Kenneth Anderson and Miss Ella Poe, Wsahington township and one granddaughter, Anita Jean Lodwick, Denmark.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Clements chapel. Rev. Ethel Saums, Mt. Pleasant, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery. The body will remain at the home until time for the service in the chapel.
