MRS. CARRIE REGUR

Mrs. Carrie May Regur, 85, died Thursday afternoon, Nov. 4 at her home in Keosauqua after an illness of several months.

Born May 14, 1869, at Delavan, Ill., she was the daughter of Crawford and Eleanor McDowell. She was married March 28, 1889, to G.W. Regur of Delavan and they moved to a Van Buren county farm in 1892, where they lived until retirement to Keosauqua in 1928.

She was a member of the Christian church and served many years as president of the women's society. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Daughters of American Revolution.

Her husband died Sept. 13, 1935. Surviving are two sons, Hal C. Regur of Des Moines and Geo. Regur of Keosauqua; a sister, Miss Mary McDowell, who had lived in the Regur home 43 years; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Nine brothers, and sisters preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Christian church at Keosauqua in charge of the Rev. John C. Ballensky. Burial was in Fellows cemetery.
