CLAUDIA ETHEL RANDOLPH

Claudia Ethel Moore, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Moore, was born at Mt. Zion, Iowa, September 29, 1882, and departed this life October 15, 1951, aged 69 years, 16 days. She grew to womanhood in the home community, and was graduated from the Keosauqua high school in 1902. She taught school in Van Buren county 17 years. She has lived in this county all her life. December 29, 1909 she united in marriage to George S. Randolph at Mt. Zion.

Three children were born of this union, Gerald, of Bonaparte, Edith, of Ames, and George Paul of Bonaparte. She joined the Mt. Zion church when a young girl and has been a faithful member all of her life. She come to church as long as she was able to come, taught a Sunday school class for many years, and was a member of the official board of the Bonaparte church.

She was the good, dependable type of Christian womanhood, of which the world never has enough. After the sickness and darkness and suffering of her last days she has now entered into the glory of her Lord, and heard the blessed words, "Well done, good and faithful over a few things. I will set thee over many things."

She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, three children, Gerald, Edith Paul; five brothers, Earnest, of Bonaparte, Glenn, of Mt. Zion, Fern and Craig of Ames and five grandchildren.

Funeral service were held in the Bonaparte Methodist Church Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. John S. Ellis officiating. Interment in Bonaparte cemetery.
