SLUSHER, HETZEL, LUCAS, RIEDE, COOK, WRIEDEN

DEWEY SLUSHER

Dewey Charles Slusher, son of Frank and Ida Slusher, was born at Farmington, Iowa, April 19, 1899 and passed away at the home of Mrs. Elva Hetzel, Sept. 20, 1950 at the age of fifty-one years.

He has been employed as butcher at the locker plant for sometime. Since 1922 he had made his home with Mrs. Hetzel. He is well known throughout Farmington and has rendered service to many families. He was a quiet man, who made many friends and who commanded the respect of the community.

He is survived by his father, Frank Slusher of Keokuk, one brother, Edward Slusher, one half-brother, Colleyer Lucas, three half-sisters, Eva Riede, Keokuk, Dora Cook of Newton, Kansas, Minnie Wrieden, of Keokuk.

Commit thy way unto the Lord, trust also in Him and He will bring it to pass.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2:00 with Rev. Fay Marriott officiating. Interment in the Greenglade Cemetery.
