The early years of her married life were spent on the farm near Primrose. The family moved to Farmington in 1926, where they continued to make their home.

Mrs. O'Brien was a wonderful wife and mother, cared for and enjoyed her family, home life and church above all other things. She loved flowers and children, all children were her friends, and she delighted in watching them pass to and from school, noting and happy in their growth of character as well as their physical growth.

She was an accomplished seamstress and was constantly doing things for her family and friends in her quiet growth.
