MRS. ANNA MADDIX

Mrs. Anna Maddix, 64, of Stockport, died Tuesday evening, April 28, at St. Joseph's hospital in Ottumwa after several weeks' illness. Her name before her marriage was Anna Hawkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Hawkins, born March 17, 1878.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church of Stockport with interment at Birmingham.

She was united in marriage with E.C. Maddix and is survived by her husband and four sons, Vern, of Trenton, Mo., Glen of Burlington, Roy of Lockridge, and Wayne with A.E.E.F. in Ireland; also one daughter, Mrs. Delmar DeHart of Chicago; eight grandsons; and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Withmer of Wyoming, and Mrs. Oscar Swanson of Ottumwa.

A daughter, Fay O'della, died in infancy.
