MARGARET MULVIHILL

When Miss Margaret Mulvihill slipped away last Saturday night to the Land O’ the Leal, Farmington lost a sweet smiling woman who left behind her a lasting influence. Gracious and friendly at all times she had many friends of long standing who grieve that they can no longer hear her pleasant voice.

Her parents were the late Henry and Bridget McCormick Mulvihill. Her father was a blacksmith for the first railroad to come through here.

She was born Nov. 14, 1859 at Sandusky, Ohio, and died in Farmington , Iowa, Oct. 1, 1950 at her home after an illness of two weeks. She came here as a young girl with her parents and was educated in a convent in Ottumwa. She possessed music abilities and was a fine pianist.
